In February 2004 the 1992 Executive Committee, recalling that it would not be possible to decide whether there were grounds for the 1992 Fund taking recourse action against the French State until the investigations into the cause of the incident had been completed, noted that the 1992 Fund had made a notification of its potential claim to the French Administration in December 2003 and that the French State had accepted that this notification had the effect of interrupting the time bar.
