In October 1996 the 1971 Fund Assembly amended Rule (iv) of the Rules of Procedure of the Executive Committee to the effect that documents other than provisional agendas (which should continue to be distributed at least 45 days before each session) should be distributed as early as possible, taking into account the need for Member States to prepare for the sessions, the availability of the necessary information and the importance of claims for compensation and other urgent issues to be dealt with promptly.
