In October 2008 the 1971 Fund Administrative Council noted that the External Auditor had provided an unqualified audit opinion on the 2007 Financial Statements following a rigorous examination of the financial operations and accounts in conformity with audit standards and best practice, and that the Audit Body had recommended that the Council approve the Statements. The Administrative Council approved the Financial Statements of the 1971 Fund for the financial period 1 January – 31 December 2007.
