In June 2008 the 1992 Fund Executive Committee noted that in April 2008 the Commercial Court in Lorient had rendered a judgement in respect of the claims against the 1992 Fund and other parties filed by ten communes which had also brought claims in the criminal proceedings in the Criminal Court in Paris. It was noted that the Fund had reached out-of-court settlements with these claimants who had nevertheless not withdrawn their claims before the Commercial Court. It was also noted that the Commercial Court had rejected these claims.
