In October 1981 the 1971 Fund Assembly considered a proposal to increase the 1971 Fund’s upper limit under Article 4.4 of the 1971 Fund Convention from 675 million (gold) francs to 900 million (gold) francs. A vote on the proposal was taken by roll-call. As the required three-fourths majority was not obtained, the proposal was rejected.
