In October 1996 the 1992 Fund Assembly noted the the Director and the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) had agreed on the text of an exchange of letters in order to extend the application of the Lease Agreement, license to occupy and sublease relating to the premises of the 1971 Fund, so that these documents would cover also the activities of the 1992 Fund.
