Decision ID: 003279
In February 1999 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee considered it necessary to maintain the 1971 Fund policy of not paying compensation for alleged loss of catches which exceeded quotas laid down by the competent authorities, but considered that some flexibility might be required to allow for different methods of implementing quotas. The Committee considered that, since it had only been able to make a preliminary examination of the various issues, further discussions would be required at a future session and that these should be co-ordinated with the discussions within the 1992 Fund.
