In May 2003 the 1992 Fund Administrative Council approved a Resolution (1992 Fund Resolution No.8) drawing attention to the importance of uniform interpretation and application of the 1992 Civil Liability Convention and the 1992 Fund Convention and the need for courts in States Parties to the 1992 Conventions to take into account the decisions by the governing bodies of the 1992 Fund and the 1971 Fund relating to the interpretation and application of the Conventions.
