In October 2000 the 1971 Fund Administrative Council decided to amend Rule 3 of its Rules of Procedure to reflect the fact that since the 1971 Fund was no longer located in the IMO Headquarters, it could no longer be stated that the Assembly should hold its sessions in the Fund’s Headquarters, and also to reflect the fact that the Fund no longer communicated by telex, but instead used electronic mail as an alternative to telefax.
