In June 1996 the 1992 Fund Assembly also decided that the following categories of organisations should be invited to send observers to sessions of the 1992 Fund Assembly, and that the Rules of Procedure should be worded accordingly: the 1971 Fund; the United Nations; the International Maritime Organization; any other specialised agency of the United Nations whose interests and those of the 1992 Fund were of common concern; any other intergovernmental and international non-governmental organisation which the Assembly had decided to admit to its meetings in accordance with Article 18.10 of the 1992 Fund Convention.
