In October 1991 the 1971 Fund Assembly decided that, in view of the fact that the 1971 Fund would in the future be holding significant sums of money, the Director should be entitled to make investments in excess of £2 million, which under Financial Regulation 7.1 (c) should normally be the maximum investment in any one bank, building society or discount house.
