In October 1981 the 1971 Fund Assembly decided that the Director could submit proposals for the revision of the 1971 Fund Convention regarding provisions dealing with the administration of the 1971 Fund to the Legal Committee of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in his personal capacity. It was also decided that he should indicate that his proposals had been discussed by the 1971 Fund’s Assembly and that different opinions had been expressed by delegations with respect to these proposals.
