In April 1979 the 1971 Fund Assembly decided to refer the consideration of the draft Financial Regulations to an intersessional Working Group to be appointed by the Executive Committee. It was further decided that this Working Group would also be requested to consider the establishment of guidelines for the investment policy of the 1971 Fund and the appointment of an Advisory Committee which the Director could consult in connection with the investments of the assets of the Fund. The Director was authorised to continue to invest the assets of the Fund in accordance with the general policy so far followed, until the next session of the Executive Committee or Assembly.
