In October 2004 the 1971 Fund Administrative Council, recalling that the Fund’s Venezuelan lawyers had advised the Fund that the criminal action against the master was time-barred, noted that in August 2004 the Supreme Court had decided to remit the file on the criminal action to the Criminal Court of Appeal and that the Court had not yet rendered its decision.
