In October 1999 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee noted with satisfaction that the Appeal Court in Scotland (the inner House) had confirmed a decision by the Court of Session (the Court of first instance) to reject a claim for pure economic loss by Landcatch Ltd, which supplied smolt to salmon farmers from its installations on mainland Scotlabd some 500 km from Shetland.
