Decision ID: 001197

In January 2001 the 1992 Fund Executive Committee considered a claim by a commune for £60 000 for the costs of repairs to four minor coastal roads that were damaged as a result of traffic having been diverted from the main coastal road, which had been closed to normal traffic to facilitate clean-up operations. The Committee decided that the damage to the roads should be considered as damage caused by clean-up and that the costs of the repairs should therefore be admissible in principle for compensation.
