Decision ID: 000814
In December 1995 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee considered claims for alleged pollution-induced damage to cement tiles and corrugated sheeting used to roof homes and agricultural buildings. The Committee endorsed the Dirctor’s decision to reject the claims following the findings of the Fund’s experts that there was no evidence that oil had penetrated the roof materials or that the materials had suffered any kind of deterioration as a result of contamination by hydrocarbons.
