In February 1996 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee reiterated that it was for the claimant to prove that he had suffered a loss caused by contamination and to demonstrate the quantum of his loss. The Committee took the view that it was not the obligation of the Fund nor of its experts to provide evidence of the damage suffered.
