In February 1994 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee instructed the Director to examine the reports on investigations into the cause of the incident carried out by the United Kingdom and Liberian authorities and to submit his findings to the Committee at its 39th session to enable it to decide whether the Fund should take any legal action.
