In June 1993 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee decided that in light of the position it had taken in respect of the Braer incident as regards claims by owners of salmon farms in the Shetland exclusion zone, claims for economic loss suffered by cultivators of mussels, salmon, oysters and scallops in the area affected by the Aegean Sea were admissible in principle.
