In March 1993 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee, whilst agreeing with the Director that a claim for the costs of activities to counteract the negative impact of the incident on the reputation of Shetland fish products could not be regarded as falling within definition of pollution damage unless they were considered as preventive measures, decided to postpone its decision to its next session.
