In April 1983 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee agreed that the conditions set by the Assembly at its 5th session for the Committee to levy annual contributions had not been met and that no decision could therefore be made on the immediate payment of compensation. The Committee decided to recommend to the Assembly to levy annual contributions at its September 1983 session.
