In October 1982 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee agreed that the information availbale was in favour of action against the shipowner to break his right of limitation and agianst other parties and left it to the Director to decide on the taking of such actions, guided by discussions of the Committee. The Committee expected the Director to call a meeting of the Committee if a change in the situation were to lead him to the opinion that no action should be taken.
