In May 1982 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee accepted a claim for £450 by an hotelier in Guernsey for loss of income as a result of having had to close his hotel, restuarant and bar for two days due to contamination by oil of the approach to the hotel and the temporary closure of the coastal road passing by the hotel.
