In May 2014, the 1971 Fund Administrative Council decided to authorise the Director to continue negotiations with the North of England P&I Club in respect of the Iliad incident, but that such negotiations should be terminated at the date of the October 2014 session of the 1971 Fund Administrative Council if agreement had not been reached by then.
