In March 2011, in a private meeting held pursuant to Rule 12 of the Rules of Procedure attended only by representatives of Member States of the 1992 Fund and former Member States of the 1971 Fund, the 1992 Fund Administrative Council decided to extend the appointment of Mr José Maura as Acting Director, until the Director returned to perform his duties or the next regular session of the 1992 Fund Assembly to be held from 24-28 October 2011, whichever occurred first.
