In October 2009 the 1992 Fund Administrative Council endorsed the Director’s proposal to develop an internship programme for the 1992 Fund, including the exploration of possibilities of co-operating with organisations with which the Fund was closely associated and had regular contacts, so that interns would have the opportunity to get acquainted with all aspects of the functioning of the international regime for liability and compensation for pollution damage. The Director was instructed to report the details such a programme at the next session of the 1992 Fund Assembly.
