In October 1999 the Executive Committee was informed that, subject to the conclusion of the on-going negotiations with the landlord and the United Kingdom Government, the Director had decided that the IOPC Funds’ Secretariat would be relocated to Portland House, Stag Place, London SW1. The Committee noted that the United Kingdom Government had undertaken to refund 80% of the rent relating to Portland House for the duration of the lease and that it would also subsidise the rates as was customary for Diplomatic Missions. It was also noted that the United Kingdom Government was prepared to make a contribution to the relocation costs, provided that the costs fell within the Government’d budget year ending 31 March 2000.
