In October 2007 the 1971 Fund Administrative Council decided not to levy any 2007 contributions to the remaining Major Claims Funds,i.e. the Vistabella and Nissos Amorgos Major Claims Funds, but decided to reimburse £2.2 million to contributors to the Pontoon 300 Major Claims Fund, on 1 March 2008, and to transfer the balance to the General Fund. The Council also decided that any outstanding contributions received after 1 March 2008 in respect of the closed Pontoon 300 Major Claims Fund should be transferred to the General Fund.
