In June 2007 the 1992 Fund Administrative Council, given the role of the 1992 Fund in the administrative tasks necessary for setting up of the HNS Fund, which would include contributions from receivers of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), decided to grant observer status to the International Group of Liquefied Natural Gas Importers (GIIGNL).
