In October 2005, following two secret ballots at a private meeting at which only representatives of the 1992 Fund Member States and former 1971 Fund Member States were present, the 1992 Fund Assembly declared that Mr Willem J G Oosterveen (Netherlands) had been elected as the next Director of the 1992 Fund from 1 November 2006 and that he would ex-officio be Director of the 1971 Fund and the Supplementary Fund also.
