In October 2002 the 1971 Fund Administrative Council, noting that a Claims Manager position provided in the budget remained vacant, confirmed that the Director had the authority to change job descriptions of staff and make any other adjustments necessary to make the most effective use of the available resources in the light of changing needs of the IOPC Funds.
