In October 2000 the 1971 Fund Administrative Council considered that the situation regarding the submission of oil reports was very unsatisfactory and renewed its instruction that, if a State did not submit its oil reports, the Director should make contact with that State and emphasise the concerns expressed by the Administrative Council in this regard. The Director was also instructed to inform the competent persons of the States concerned that the Assembly or Council would review individually each State that had not submitted its reports and that it would then be for that body to decide on the course of action to be taken for each State.
