In May 1998 the 1971 Fund Assembly and the 1992 Fund Assembly adopted supplementary budget appropriations for 1998 of £251,100 for the joint Secretariat (to cover increased staff costs, the enhanced scope of the audit in 1998 and increased translation costs). The two Assemblies approved the revised Budget for 1998 for a total amount of £2,042,920, which would be distributed with 60% being paid by the 1971 Fund and 40% being paid by the 1992 Fund.
