In October 1996 the 1971 Fund Assembly elected Mr C Coppolani (France) as Chairman, Professor H Tanikawa (Japan) as first Vice-Chairman and Mr P Gómez-Flores (Mexico) as second Vice-Chairman to hold office until the next regular session of the Assembly.
