In May 2002 the 1971 Fund Administrative Council noted that in December 2001 the Sunchon District Court had rendered judgements in respect of claims for alleged losses as a result of a decrease in prices of caged fish on the grounds that such losses could not be distinguished from those resulting from a typhoon and red tides, which occurred at the same time as the incident.
