Decision ID: 001318

In May 2002 the 1992 Fund Executive Committee considered the question of admissibility of claims by businesses within the tourism industry, which alleged a dependence on coastal tourism, but were situated at some distance inland. The Committee decided that such claims should be assessed on a case-by-case basis in order to establish whether there was a link of causation between the alleged loss or damage and the contamination in accordance with the Fund’s normal practice.
