Decision ID: 001040

In October 1997 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee considered claims by angling clubs for certain expenses for the period of the fishing ban imposed by the United Kingdom Government, namely the lease of fishing rights, insurance premiums, maintenance, bailiff fees, water rates and other standing charges. The Committee considered that the costs covered by the claims were not admissible for compensation, since the costs would have been incurred whether or not there had been a fishing ban, and decided therefore that the claims should be rejected.
