Decision ID: 000271

In June 1993 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee decided that claims for compensation for costs relating to the submission of evidence to an inquiry to investigate whether any further measures were appropriate and feasible to protect the United Kingdom coastline from pollution from merchant shipping were not admissible, since such costs could not be considered as damage caused by contamination.
