In October 1984 the 1971 Fund Assembly, noting that the Diplomatic Conference held in May 1984 which had adopted Protocols to the 1969 Civil Liability Convention and the 1971 Fund Convention had also had adopted Resolution No.3 requesting the Assembly to authorise and instruct the Director to perform certain functions with regard to the entry into force of the 1984 Protocol to the 1971 Fund Convention, considered that for the time being it would not be appropriate to take any decision in that regard.
