In April 1996 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee endorsed the Director’s opinion that it would not have been appropriate for him or the expert in charge of the Claims Handling Office to give evidence before a parliamentary committee in its task of examining the problems facing the sea fishing industry in Wales.
