In December 1995 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee noted that, on the basis of the assessment made by the Fund’s experts, it was unlikely that the total amount of established claims would exceed £2.5 million. The Committee therefore endorsed the Director’s decision that the established claims could be paid in full by the Fund.
