In March 1993 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee considered that a claim by fish processor who did not normally receive any supplies from the area of the sea which fell within the fishing exclusion zone established by the United Kingdom Government, but whose alleged loss was due the cancellation or reduction in orders due to loss of confidence on the part of buyers or consumers in the quality of Shetland salmon in general, was a borderline case between admissible and non-admissible, but deferred any decision until its next session
