In October 1997 the 1971 Fund Assembly decided, in view of the fact that the question of the auditing of the 1971 Fund would be discussed at the next session of the Assembly, to defer consideration of the 1971 Fund’s system of financial control, in particular the issue of whether the 1971 Fund should establish an Audit Committee, to that session.
