Decisión nº: 001983

In October 2006 the 1971 Fund Administrative Council noted that in view of the conduct of a company (Shetland Sea Farms) farming salmon within the exclusion zone that had based its claim on alleged contracts that had been shown to be false, the Appellate Court had issued an interim order in July 2006 against the company requiring it to pay the majority of the costs incurred by the shipowner, the insurer and the 1971 Fund in relation to court proceedings. It was further noted that the Court had made it a condition that the company paid these costs before it would be allowed to continue with the proceedings.
