In April 2000 the 1971 Fund Administrative Council, acting on behalf of the 5th Extraordinary Session of the Assembly, dealing with items on the agenda of the 63rd session of the Executive Committee, elected Dr M Baradà (Italy) as Chairman and Mr V Knyazev (Russian Federation) as Vice Chairman of the Council.
