In May 1982 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee agreed to a procedure for assessing the claim by the French Government whereby the Government would present to the Fund, in addition to the documents already submitted, reports linking clean-up operations to items claimed, following which the Fund’s experts would discuss the claims with French experts to address all questions arising from the reports.
