In February 1994 the 1971 Fund Executive Committee considered a claim by a fisherman who did not fish commercially, but for home consumption, but who had been prevented from fishing due to the exclusion zone imposed by the United Kingdom Government. The Committee decided that since the claimant did not depend on fishing for his livelihood the claim should be rejected.
