At its October 2015 session, the 1992 Fund Administrative Council welcomed the interest of Iberoamerican Maritime Law Institute in the work of the IOPC Funds, but given that there were no representatives from Iberoamerican Maritime Law Institute present at the time, decided to postpone the decision to grant the international non-governmental organisation observer status to the 1992 Fund.
