In October 2008 the 1971 Fund Administrative Council decided to amend Internal Regulation 7.13 to the effect that the Technical Adviser/Claims Manager would be authorised to make final or partial settlements of claims or to make provisional payments not exceeding £500 000 for a particular claim.
